If you’re like me, you’ve already discovered the extraordinary joy and untold potential of the aerial arts. or perhaps you’re curious about aerial but think you’re too overweight/skinny/weak/inflexible/scared to try it.

Take it from someone whose aerial journey has been vital to overcoming body dysmorphia, mental illness, and intimate partner abuse — you can do it! The circus arts date back centuries and have long been a refuge for the marginalized and neurodivergent. Now, in our competitive culture, they’re an opportunity to nurture your innate strength. Believe me: you don’t need to be super-flexible, super-strong, or a seasoned performer to enjoy the aerial arts!

I also offer performance coaching and choreography guidance for aerialists, as well as those in other movement disciplines who want to incorporate aerial dance.

So whether you’re aiming to become a circus artist in your own right or simply want to reach new heights in your creative journey, I’m here to show you it’s possible!

Orlando Aerial Instruction and Coaching

I teach silks, lyra (aerial hoop), and aerial frame to kids and adults in Orlando, Florida, emphasizing movement, empowerment, and trauma-informed pedagogy. Previously, I taught beginner silks and trapeze at Gainesville Circus Center in Gainesville, Florida.

My aerial teaching style involves:

  • Skill instruction with consideration for past injuries and body limitations
  • Transition guidance for more efficient aerial choreography and smoother movements
  • Cross-apparatus translation of major skills
  • Mindset shifts to help you break through plateaus and unlock your body and spirit’s full potential

Currently, my kids’ aerial class is at 5 p.m. every Wednesday at Art from the Heart. Hoping to get an adult class started soon!

You can book private aerial instruction by emailing me.

Circus Arts and Dance Coaching in Orlando

Aerial dance and ground acrobatics are only part of the larger discipline of circus arts. If you’re a cabaret, burlesque, or variety performer, you can elevate your act — literally — with these skills.

However, it can be a challenge to integrate these various performance styles. Perhaps you’d like to add some circus movement to your burlesque act, or you’ve been dabbling in aerial but aren’t sure how to choreograph it.

Want to learn some aerial moves or solve choreography problems? Need some personalized instruction for circus- or vaudeville-style dance and ground movement. To get started with private lessons, drop me a line.
