Elle Wayne began her movement journey at age 7, exploring gymnastics, ballet, and musical theatre. After earning her BFA in Theatre Arts, she focused on producing, playwriting, and design. In addition to founding DreamQuilt Productions in Gainesville, FL, she worked as Assistant Costume Designer at the iconic Hippodrome Theatre, where she also taught aspiring thespians at the annual summer camp. She was also a board member, director, and production manager at the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre.
But it wasn’t long before Elle rediscovered her love of dance — from jaw-dropping aerial acrobatics to high-energy samba. She began crafting unique character pieces that blended the circus and movement arts. As an active participant in Gainesville’s eclectic performing arts community, she produced a variety of cabaret shows featuring puppets, clowning, and vocals. She performed regularly with Gainesville Circus Center (GCC), soaring above the crowd on trapeze and lyra. As a GCC instructor, she also taught silks and static trapeze.
After relocating to Orlando, Elle began training at Orlando Aerial Arts (OAA), where she is now a coach and company member of Suspended Artistry, OAA’s community performance troupe. She is the founder of Elevate With Elle, a body-positive cirque fitness and aerial coaching program. Most recently, she’s begun training flow arts and specialty apparatuses — looking forward to reaching ever-new heights.
